Even if the global net income from oil and gas production has reached unprecedented levels because/thanks to the energy crisis, the need to surge investment in renewables, energy efficiency and other clean energy technologies is widely recognized. 

Competition between the countries of the world has even developed to attract the most investment: n the US, the Inflation Reduction Act President Joe Biden signed in August 2022 authorized almost $370 billion in clean energy and decarbonization expenditures over 10 years – the largest investment in addressing climate change in the nation’s history under clear regulatory rules. In Europe, the RepowerEU strategy that was announced in May 2022 plans 300 billion euros for the coming ten years. At the same time, India announced it would meet fifty percent of its electricity requirements from renewable energy sources by 2030.
