Wind for Goods : national exhibition dedicated to wind-powered technologies

Motorised ship propulsion is surely only a parenthesis in the long history of maritime transport. It is this subject that led to “Wind for goods”, the first national exhibition dedicated to wind-powered technologies, which took place in Saint Nazaire on 21 September.

The first event dedicated to marine transportation using electric propulsion

Organised by the Nantes Saint Nazaire Development Agency and in partnership with the Wind Ship association, this first edition of Wind For Goods, dedicated to sail-powered maritime transport, highlighted concrete solutions and innovations that contribute to the decarbonisation of maritime transport and enabled all the players involved to discuss the challenges of this fast-growing sector, which is working to protect our maritime environment.

AUTF, a partner but also a supporter of this event, was delighted to have been able to participate in and contribute to this first edition of Wind for Goods, which also allowed the launch of the first coalition of shippers for a decarbonised maritime transport.

> The aim is to achieve at least a 90% reduction in environmental impact on this route, while maintaining a balance between lead-time, service and cost.
